ስለ ደራሲዋ
ወ/ሮ ስዋሰው ብርሃኑ ደስታ ህዳር አሥራ ሁለት ቀን ሺ ዘጠኝ መቶ አርባ ሶስት ዓም (12/11/1943) በቀድሞው ቤጌምድርና ስሜን ጠቅላይ ግዛት በጐንደር ከተማ ተወለዱ።
የልጅነት ጊዜያቸውን እንዲሁም የአንደኛ ደረጃ ትምህርታቸውን ያጠናቀቁት በስሜን አውራጃ ዋና ከተማ በሆነችውና ከራስ ዳሸን ተራራ በቅርብ ርቀት በምትገኘው በደባርቅ ከተማ ነው።የሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርታቸውን በቀድሞው ቀ/ኃ/ሥ 2ኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤት ጐንደር ካጠቃለሉ በኋላ አዲስ አበባ በሚገኘው የመምህራን ኮሌጅ ከመጀመሪያዎቹ ምሩቆች አንዷ ናቸው።በተለያዩ የሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤቶች ከሃያ አመታት በላይ ፊዚክስና ሂሳብ በማስተማር አገልግለዋል።
ከአሥራ ሶስት ዓመት በላይ በኖሩባት በእየሩሳሌም ከተማ በአካባቢ የማህበራዊ ጽህፈት ቤት ሽማግሌዎችን ከሚኖሩባት ሐገር ባህልና ማህበራዊ ግንኙነት የበለጠ እንዲተዋወቁ ገለጻና ምክር በመስጠት ታዳጊ ህጻናትን አማርኛ በማስተማር እንዲሁም በማንኛውም ህብረተሰቡ በፈለጋቸው መስክ የነጻ አገልግሎት በመስጠት ላይ ይገኛሉ።
ወ/ሮ ስዋሰው የአንድ ሴትና የሁለት ወንዶች እናትና የአንድ ወንድ ልጅ አያት ናቸው።
The Author
Born and raised in Gonder, then Begemedir province, Sewasew spent her early childhood in Debarq, at the foot of the Semien Mountains, whose majestic peaks and vista are in the background of this website.
Sewasew studied her primary education in Debarq, and her secondary edudcation at the then Haileselasie I High school in Gonder town. Following, she completed a teaching diploma at Ethiopian Teachers College in Addis Ababa, becoming one of the graduates of the College. She has taught Maths and Physics for High School Students in Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa. Her teaching career span over two decades.
She has been living for the past 13 years in Jerusalem, where she teaches young students of Ethiopian origin the Amharic language. She also rans a class for elderly Ethiopian immigrants on how to adapt and live in their new country - Israel. She has a daughter, and two sons, and is a proud grandmother with a grandson.
